Safety Update

Dear Lakewood on the Green Community,

Please find attached a current list of sexual offenders within a 2mile radius of our community.

Please note the distinction between an offender and a predator, as the latter poses a more serious threat to the community. 
Last year, we received an announcement of one, which I immediately investigated and corrected. Someone used our address but was not living in our community, and that was corrected. 

We continue to background check and filter all residents, both prospective buyers and tenants.  It is one reason why all prospective adults residing in or wishing to reside in MUST apply for approval through our association.  We have previously denied applicants for various offenses, including one recently convicted of drug distribution. 
 
(I note that we have a small concentration on Banks Road as a result of the Brotherhood rehab residences located on Banks Road.  Our commission approved this facility, which includes Broward County's medically assisted detox.
